Ingredients
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp ghee
- Silver vark (optional)
Steps
- Grind the cashews in a mixer to a fine powder.
- In a pan, add sugar and water. Heat on medium flame until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cashew powder to the pan and mix well.
- Keep stirring the mixture on low flame until it thickens and starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the ghee to the mixture and mix well.
- Turn off the flame and let the mixture cool down a bit.
- Once it is lukewarm, knead the mixture well for 5-10 minutes to make it smooth.
- Roll the mixture into a thin sheet using a rolling pin.
- Cut the sheet into diamond or square-shaped pieces.
- Optional: decorate with silver vark.
